Last month, Emily and Andrew attended the Pig & Poultry Fair in Birmingham, spending time with clients exhibiting at the event, catching up with industry contacts and meeting new faces from across the sector.

Events like Pig & Poultry are always busy, but beyond the stands, demonstrations and packed halls, they offer something increasingly valuable – the chance to step away from inboxes and video calls and have the conversations that often shape what comes next.

Across the two days, there was a real sense of positivity and ambition throughout the industry. Alongside supporting clients exhibiting at the show, it was a chance to hear first-hand what people are focusing on, the challenges businesses are navigating and where opportunities are beginning to emerge.

For a communications and PR team working within agriculture, these moments matter. Understanding the conversations happening on the ground helps shape stronger stories, more relevant content and a better understanding of the sectors our clients operate in every day.

Trade events also continue to remind us how connected the industry really is. Familiar faces quickly lead to new introductions, ideas are shared over coffees and brief conversations often become valuable relationships further down the line.

Spending time face-to-face with people across the sector remains one of the best ways to stay connected to the industry and ensure we continue delivering communications that genuinely reflect the people and businesses behind it.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat – we’re already looking forward to the next one.
